John assists businesses and business owners with commercial litigation and tax controversy matters. His trial experience is extensive, and he has a proven track record of delivering exemplary results both at trial and on appeal.  He has tried and won numerous cases in both federal and state courts and resolved matters involving contract disputes, partnership disputes, business torts, fiduciary claims, fraud, fraudulent transfers, theft, receiverships, constructive trusts, administrative claims, and both federal and state tax controversies. 

John has been named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and as one of the Best Lawyers in San Antonio by San Antonio Scene Magazine.  He was Salutatorian of St. Mary’s School of Law in 2009 where he served as an Articles Editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal and received the Martin D. Bearn Editor’s Excellence Award for his service. He has published numerous articles relating to business torts, fiduciary litigation, and tax controversy.
